Hello! I’m So Glad You’re Here!

Growing up, I always had my nose in a book. I learned to read when I was three, and from that point on, I was hooked. By the time I was six, I had read through the entire King James Bible! If you were ever looking for me, chances are I was tucked away somewhere reading. In fact, one of my punishments as a child was having my books taken away!

I grew up on the writings of Jacob Abbott, Charles Spurgeon, Charlotte Maria Tucker, John Abbott, and Robert Newton. My dad has an amazing collection of books from the 1800s, and I absolutely loved reading them. There’s something about that older style of writing. It carries so much richness, thoughtfulness, and depth.

If you hadn’t already guessed, yes, I was homeschooled. My amazing, patient mother homeschooled me all the way through twelfth grade, and I truly loved it. During the summer, I was the kid asking when school would start again. And when I wasn’t doing schoolwork or reading, I was usually playing teacher.

Now, I’m attending Bible college and studying Elementary Education. I can’t wait for the day I get to have a classroom of my own. I love working with kids and being part of the little moments that can make a big difference in their lives.

Over the years, I noticed how hard it is to find good, modern Christian books, especially ones that use the King James Bible and hold to godly standards. This is especially true for children and young adults, who are at such a crucial stage of life. And even when you do find a book, the characters often feel too perfect, like everything always goes exactly how they planned. But that’s not real life.

My heart is to write stories that feel real. Stories that are grounded in the Scriptures, but are honest about the ups and downs of life. I want readers to feel like they could be the main character. I pray these books will encourage you, challenge you, and remind you of God’s goodness, and that you’ll want to share them with someone else when you’re done.
